Three Rivers Chapter of NAPNAP is a professional nursing organization dedicated to the promotion of healthcare of children, from infancy into young adulthood. We also provide leadership, education and networking to pediatric nurse practitioners in our local area who work in a variety of settings. Our chapter was founded in 1994 and has currently grown into a large chapter with over 70 local members.

 

2008-2009 Leadership Scholarship

Sponsored by: Three Rivers Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP)

Purpose: The Three Rivers Chapter of NAPNAP wishes to encourage registered nurses enrolled in graduate level nursing education to begin their involvement in local and national professional organizations in a student leadership capacity.

REQUIREMENTS: Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Document acceptance in an approved pediatric or family nurse practitioner program in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia. The documentation should be signed by the faculty coordinator of the program.

2. State rationale for seeking nurse practitioner education and immediate future professional plans. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to note any previous leadership experiences and plans for future leadership roles.

3. Completed application and all attachments/appendices must be postmarked by October 15, 2008 and mailed to Noa Bernstein, 531 Hastings Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

4. Preference is given to a Three Rivers NAPNAP student member.

The scholarship recipient will be determined by the Three Rivers Chapter of NAPNAP Scholarship Committee and notified within three weeks of the application deadline. The recipient will be formally recognized at the Annual Symposium, Friday February 6, 2009.
